GENERAL APPLICATIONS Kuriyama Camlock Couplings are intended for use in many industrial applications. To learn more, please refer to pages 296-297 in this catalog FEATURES AND ADVANTAGES High quality design to withstand rigorous applications found in industrial markets. Kuriyama offers two 8" coupling styles in aluminum.* Aluminum alloy specially designed for high tensile strength and impact resistance. Supplied with forged brass handles which results in less wear on connecting parts. 8" & 10" sizes supplied with four brass handles. MATERIAL SPECIFICATIONS ASTM aluminum alloy. Complies with Mil-Spec A-A-59326 for interchangeability in relevant sizes. Forged brass handles. Zinc-plated carbon steel handle pins, pull rings and safety clips. Buna-N gasket included.

Aluminum
Aluminum is a lightweight metal with an excellent strength-to-weight ratio. At the same time, aluminum is more cost-effective than stainless steel or brass, so it is a good alternative for general industrial applications. This combination of strength of material and cost-effectiveness makes it the most popular camlock material.
